A new year, a fresh start. Yep, things got a little wild toward the end of last year and my absence speaks to this. However, as long as we are still living, there can always be a new beginning. We tend to forget this and slap ourselves around like we have committed some indelible sin for which every tomorrow will hold a grudge. Every tomorrow will bear its mark (along with every other fault)and make sure we will never get anywhere with all the past missteps chaining us down to the same spot.
Wow… It’s amusing the lies that are whispered in our ears by entities, people and an ego that doesn’t have our best interest at heart. Actually, it’s all quite laughable. So on we press, navigating through life like the “little engine that could”. You betcha — I boarded this train (The Royal Gorge Railway). Trains symbolize travel, new experiences and movement forward. It treks through a deceiving bokeh landscape where everything looks model-size, shrinking our life experiences into a much more manageable size. Our errors, poor decisions and mistakes? We do best to resolve to learn from them, say goodbye and then leave them behind at the station.
To new adventures — Happy New Year!
