Climbing can be scary both physically and metaphorically. We lose sight of what grounds us to the earth and the unknown is what lies ahead.
We gather up our courage and take the first step forward. The hardest step. As we ascend, we feel a certain exhilaration mixed with trepidation doused with fear of losing our footing. We begin to doubt if we have made the right decision. Nonetheless, we continue to ascend.
If we persevere — the reward. A beautiful view which no one else can experience except those who have dared to make the ascent.
